Le raku est une technique de cuisson japonaise utilisée pour la cérémonie du thé. Les pièces sont sorties incandescentes en fin de cuisson, enfermées dans des récipients contenant des matières dégageant, en brûlant, une forte fumée. Les parties non émaillées sont noircies par l'enfumage, l'émail se craquelle et peut avoir des nuances et des métallisations innombrables. The Raku technique from japan is used for the tea ceremony. At the end of thecooking process, the pieces are taken out red hot from the kilm and covered completely with various materials ( sandust, paper ), letting off thick black smoke. The parts that have not been enameld become black. The parts that have been worked with enamel sometimes crack and metallic effects can be obtained. |
